For many people going to the St Jacobs Farmers’ Market is a Saturday morning tradition! Where else can you find bushels of fresh produce, a butcher that will cut your meat to your liking, Mennonites selling Maple Syrup and all kinds of delicious foods!
The Market looks a little different with arrows showing you which way to walk and yes there is more walking to do (great for those who are trying to reach their goal on Fitbit) but the essence of the Market is still there with a friendly hello from the vendors, you no longer can see the smile on their faces due to masks however you hear the smile in their voice and see the smile through the twinkle in their eyes. If you are wondering if the line up is worth the wait for Apple Fritters, let me tell you it is! This is not a donut, it is an apple sliced, dipped in batter, deep fried then rolled in sugar. Best eaten warm!

Life has changed due to COVID 19 however it is nice to see some things have not, it is the same Market where we go to get fresh produce, flowers and meats from our favorite vendors and to take our friends and family who are visiting and want to see our area! Market is open year-round on Thursday and Saturday mornings. For a less busy day try Thursday.
Just down the road you will find Bo-De Foods at 551 Parkside Drive. Here your food therapy shopping can continue at low prices. Bo-De Foods is an outlet for Dare products and have grown beyond that to bulk candy, chocolate bars and more. If you are looking for good prices check out Bo- De Foods!

For the foodie lover in you make a trip to Waterloo Region for everything from fresh produce to that candy you crave!
