Kincardine Kind of a Day.
When I think of Kincardine, I think of spending time at the beach or walking the numerous trails or shopping in the boutiques in downtown or enjoying a good meal on one of the many patios.
Kincardine’s 2 beaches, MacPherson Park and Station, are spacious with plenty of parking, amenities and children playgrounds. I enjoy McPherson Park Beach which is located steps from downtown shopping and restaurants. It has a boardwalk that runs the length of it with washrooms and children play area. This is a great beach for families or people that just want to put their chair in the sand and read a good book!
At the end of the Boardwalk is the pier where you can walk to watch the Sea-Doos and small boats come into the river while the brave young people jump off the pier into the cool clear water. This is a great spot to watch the sunset while listening to the piper pipe the sun down from atop of the lighthouse.
If you are here on a Saturday before Thanksgiving you can take in the Farmers Market from 10am to Noon at Connaught Park.
When we were there, we were lucky to see 100s of Vintage car driving past town on a beautiful weekend day. There is always something happening in Kincardine!
It is relaxing and enjoyable. A Kincardine kind of a day!
