To start our day with exhilaration we went to Wasaga 500 to go kart, play mini golf and hit baseballs in the batting cage.  Rori was our guide at Wasaga 500, she showed us all the fun that can be had speeding around the track in a go kart or challenging friends to a friendly game of mini golf or mastering your swing in the batting cages.  It was a great way to start your day!

After the exhilaration we went looking for baked goods and fresh produce at the Valley Farm Market located just up the road.  They sell all local goods and ice cream.  It has the feel of stepping back in time to a small local grocery store.  After picking up food for lunch and snacks we visited the goats on the farm who were enjoying the attention.  A great stop with your family.

There is a number of great spots to eat from take-out stands to casual dining to fine dining in Wasaga Beach.  Go to www.wasagaeats.ca for a list of spots.  I recommend Euro-Lex Deli for a quick lunch of sandwich and soup with a yummy pastry for dessert. It is also a European Deli that you can take food home and find European food products.

You should not have a day in Wasaga Beach without going to the Beach. We started with Beach One the most popular Beach!  At Beach One you will find pods that are monitored to make sure there is Social Distancing.  Note that there is limited parking available so get there early if you are driving to Beach One.  This Beach has stores and fast food available, it even has a free splash pad for the kids. It is the best known of all 6 Beaches of the Provincial Parks.

To cool off after the Beach we went to Mr. Norm’s Nephew.  Located on Mosley Street, the street that takes you to Beach One and Two.  This is handcrafted ice cream and frozen yogurt, you choose your ingredients such as fruits, chocolates, cookies even vegetables!  They handcraft your selection into a frozen delight.  I chose Strawberry and Skor bar from a recommendation that Rori gave us this morning.  She was right, it’s the best!  They have a list of tasty combinations or make one that is uniquely you!

To end the day, take in the sunset over Georgian Bay, it is stunning! Watching the sun set over the water while the sky is changing different colors it makes you want this day never to end.
