During the pandemic there are a few things that we have missed. One tradition was going to Townline Fish & Chips located in Orangeville with my Mom on Good Friday. As soon as we could spring Mom from the Manor, we headed straight to Orangeville to get our fix of good fish and chips! Townline Fish & Chips hand batters the fish, hand cuts potatoes into French Fries and even makes their own Tartar Sauce. During the quiet time over the winter and pandemic they completely renovated their dining area to make the experience even better!
My philosophy in life is to Eat Dessert First and I have discovered that I get that from my Mom. As dessert lovers our next stop was Mochaberry Coffee Café. They have a patio set up on the sidewalk so that we could enjoy our coffee and dessert while watching the world go by. Mochaberry has a number of hot and cold beverages that are created to your liking. Oh, the desserts it is hard to choose just one!
While in Orangeville shop the downtown in a variety of charming boutiques and check out the amazing Tree Sculptures located downtown and nearby streets. Instead of cutting down the entire tree the town left the trunks to be sculpted into artist pieces.
A great day getaway!
