It was a wonderful day to explore the countryside of Wellesley, Millbank and Floradale. Our Culinary adventure began with lunch at Schmidtsville Restaurant, the food was delicious and plentiful, I highly recommend the Crispy Chicken Wrap. We finished the meal with a slice of fresh peach pie, this alone was worth the trip. We enjoyed strolling around Wellesley pond to discover the 2 local swans and I worked off that piece of pie! Next stop Anna Mae’s in Millbank. Known for their Broasted Chicken and home cooking it is a favorite of many people. It is changing in this challenging world with a unique Curbside pick up option. Staff deliver your food to your car by scooter. What a site it is, of these young ladies zipping around the parking lot on their scooters with bonnets and dresses blowing in the wind.

Furniture location and Millbank Cheese where you can now by a bottle of wine with your cheese. Next stop is one of my favorite farm stands located between Millbank and Hwy 85, farm fresh eggs from Free Range Chickens, today’s deal was Yellow Beans, fresh produce and flowers are plentiful.

Driving through scenic countryside our next stop was Bonnie Lou’s Restaurant in Floradale. Step bank in time in the former Floradale General Store/ Post Office. Enjoy a tall cold glass of Sweet Tea with a slice of pie.

While in the area you will be charmed by the back in time gas station and Hillcrest Bakery & General Store, take home home baking. This tour is good for your taste buds and your soul.
Let me know your favorite menu items from these restaurants.
